Baby Vicente is HERE!

Wow it has been a while since my last blog post... Well lots of babies have joined the Okinawa community lately. 

Including Vicente, he gave his mommy a hard time a bit however once he came out he gave dad the real hard time ( watch the video, all over his poor arm me and mom got a good laugh in there). He was 8 pounds 5 oz I think we were all a little shocked. Mom handled labor like a champ even with a couple scary moments, dad was right there the whole time. He never left her side and was a huge support role it was so great to see the love those two share. When baby finally came out the look on mom's face was amazing and it just re affrims the point that my job is such a blessing.. I got to meet big brother and big sister the next day and they love their brother so much already. I hope you enjoy these images and the quick video I made for my Facebook Community Followers

Amanda Lifestyle Session

I got the honor to go see miss Amanda again, I spent some time at their home photographing her and her parents together. She was not to keen on letting us put her down but let me grab a couple quick ones of her. Just look at the head of hair this little girl has, bows galore for her. You can tell mom and dad are just so in love with her. Although I am sure they'd be ok with some more sleep then what they are getting  right now.  

Baby Amanda is HERE!!

I had the honor of being present at another birth over the weekend, baby Amanda was brought into this world. She gave her parent's some grief there for a little bit. Thankfully she eventually decided to come and bless us with her presence 

I headed to the hospital around 10pm that night, it was a pretty un-evenful night. I got to spend that time joking around with mom and dad and we all tried to get some sleep. Mom got two popsicles and I bet if she could have gotten up, she would have cleared the freezer out. If you have ever been in labor popsicles are like heaven on earth! Around 4-5am she was ready to start pushing and she was such a rockstar and really working it. The midwife on duty was the one who actually did their dating ultra-sound so it was a defiantly special she was there. We had another nurse come in to help encourage mom (she was actually my nurse when I had my son a year ago I knew she looked familiar ). She said right as she walked in that she was a hard knock type nurse. She wasn't lying she made momma work and she got that baby to come down and make her appearance and Ana mentioned a couple times during pushing about "opening up a window and pushing her out"(the nurse) just a couple times all in good fun. As you can see in the photo's in between her contractions she was smiling and joking around. When Amanda made her appearance was just beautiful to witness, mom and dad were in love just immediately and baby amanda was so content wide eye and absolutely beautiful.

Talbert Birth

I had the pleasure of being at Yui birth clinic for this clients birth, it was an amazing experience they are so hands off and let mom's body labor and do what it needs. When I arrived she had gone from a 3-complete within an hour and a half. I got there just in time to get my camera out and grab a couple quick shots. Her son came so fast, I wasn't  able to see him tell she grabbed him. The nurses at Yui almost instantly laid her back to rest and love on her baby. No beeping poking or prodding just mom and baby being with each other. 

Every birth has a special place in my heart but this one was something extra. Seeing birth happen somewhere that isn't looked at as a medical condition instead something that is natural was just amazing. She had her Doula, Amanda from Oceanside HypnoBirthing who is a treasure here on island and will be very sad when she leaves. Her husband and son was there along with her Mother in Law. Her son was in the room and was quietly playing on the Ipad and when his brother came out just lit up and was so excited to see him he quietly put it down and walked right now to his mother to meet his new brother. Her mother in law had the honor of cutting the cord and was just overjoyed when they asked her to cut it. I left after an hour or so, to let mom and baby rest and I hope to share another small bit of their next session once they are home and rested.

 She had him so fast I was able to snap this just as the nurse helped her. You see that arm around mom. That's the nurse, who was right there embracing her and holding her and smiling ear to ear with her. Was such a sweet thing to witness
